The new EP from Joey Mercedes is finally here! After months of anticipation, fans can now listen to the new tracks from “Jump for Joy, Pause for Peace.”

HV Studios and Scarcity Stadium are teaming up with Brooklyn record label Toucan Sounds to celebrate Juneteenth and the release of the latest EP from Joey Mercedes.

Scarcity Stadium will be pumping Friday, June 17th. The IRL party starts at 7:30pm EST (11:30pm UTC), followed by DJ sets live-streamed in Voxels from 9:30pm. The live stream at Scarcity Stadium will end around 12:30am.

Commemorating Juneteenth

The launch party will also commemorate Juneteenth, an annual holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. The holiday is also known as Freedom Day, Emancipation Day, or Black Independence Day.

It is observed on June 19, the date when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas in 1865 to take control of the state and enforce the Emancipation Proclamation.

Today, Juneteenth is celebrated across the country with parades, festivals, and other events. For many African Americans, Juneteenth is a time to reflect on their history and heritage.

It is also a time to celebrate the progress that has been made since the end of slavery. Juneteenth is an important reminder of how far we have come in racial equality and how far we still have to go.

Bringing Live Events Into The Metaverse

In the past, people would have to physically attend events to experience them. This meant that only those who could travel to the event location could take part. However, with the advent of live streaming, anyone can experience an event as it happens, no matter where they are in the world.

This has opened up a whole new world of possibilities, particularly in the metaverse. Now, people can attend virtual events and meetups, regardless of their physical location. This has made it easier than ever to connect with like-minded people from all over the globe. What’s more, live streaming also enables people to attend multiple events at once, something that would not be possible in the physical world. With live streaming, the world is literally at your fingertips.

And Voxels is the premier corner of the metaverse for live streaming events, having hosted numerous combined IRL/Metaverse events over the past few years. In fact, barely a week goes by where Voxels does not host a live-streamed event.

On June 17th, Scarcity Stadium is gonna light Scarcity Island up.

Hope to see you there!
